Small Towns
When Mike and I decided to get married we decided that we would move into my house in Plain City. I loved where I lived and I loved living close to my sister and her family. It just seemed to make sense. We moved Mike's stuff in there and that was the plan. But then as the logisitics started to come together we suddenly became aware that the right choice was to move to Tremonton. We got married and immediately started to pack and two weeks later I was a Tremonton resident. This also had its perks. My brother and his family lived three doors down from Mike's house. I had spent quite a bit of time up here and already knew some of the neighbors and Lexi already knew the kids in the neighborhood. It was a fairly seamless transition. Now that we have lived here for nearly a year, I absolutely love it! Mike has lived here for almost 10 years and he worked at La-Z Boy for 17 years. He knows everyone. We can't go to the store, out to eat, to a T-ball game, Kindergarten graduation, etc without running into someone we know. I love the feel of driving down Main Street and having the small town feeling of the little store fronts. My brother and his family moved last month, which was a very sad time for me. His work took them back to Layton and left me as the only Brough family member who "lived in Idaho." Once you live here you realize that the 45 minute drive to Layton is not that bad, but trying to convince the Layton residents that 45 minutes north is not that bad is nearly impossible. Hence the reason I post pictures of my house on Facebook...I have resigned myself to the fact that I am not gonna get many visitors from you big city folk! :-) It really is a great place to live. We have a friendly neighborhood, a wonderful ward, and a small community that you just can't beat. Mike laughs at everyone who gets all geared up for the Box Elder County Fair, but I am one of those people! I used to come up every year for the rodeo with my brother's family. I love it and I can't wait for August, so laugh all you want, Mike! Lexi is determined to enter the mutton bustin' this year...we will see! I am just so happy that this is where we ended up. I miss my family like crazy and am still getting used to this independence thing (I used to go to my mom's 3-4 times a week!), but I actually really am liking it. It bonds Mike and I and makes us depend on each other since there is no one else to depend on...except of course great friends and neighbors! All in all...life couldn't be much better. Mike and I both have good jobs, which seems to be rare these days. We have four wonderful kids that we couldn't love more. And we have each other! Life has been good to me...

I'm back!
Well I have been a horrible blogger in the past little while and I officially decided that in my crazy, busy life that never slows down, I need to stop and take the time to blog about everything. When I was in high school I had a perfect memory. But the older I get and the busier that life is, it seems that less sticks in my mind, so...I really need to blog 1) so that I remember to take pictures of stuff and 2) so that I can remember it for longer than a week. A lot has been going on in the past year, many of which I want to be able to remember in 10 years, so I will probably be catching up on some blogging. Some will be to share what is going on with my family with all of my friends and the other part will be for myself, to get my memories written down somewhere before they fade. As I posted on facebook, I will be making my blog private since I plan to put specific and private things that I only want to share with my friends and family (and not the rest of the world). I will do that in the next few days or so. So if you are still checking in on my blog every now and then, leave me your email address and I will add you OR you can email it to me at camievans25@gmail.com. See you all real soon!
