Quiet Time

I don't require my kids to nap every day, but I do require them to go to the rooms for "Quiet Time" for 1 hour after lunchtime. We all need the quiet time. They are only required to do something quietly in their rooms for an hour until I get them out. They do really well at it. Bracken naps the majority of the time, but sometimes he just want to play with his race car track. Well today I went in to tell him quiet time was over and this is what I found. Do you think it was tired?

Movie Night

So once a month I have to work a weekend, and I work the WHOLE weekend. Needless to say my kids pretty much take care of themselves. They are so sweet and helpful though. Today I was feeling pretty guilty when I rented them a movie, so I thought I would spruce it up with a "fort." I just remember than when I was a kid, throwing some blankets over some chairs and calling it a fort made any movie the best. Here they are in their fort with their popcorn watching Bolt.

My sweet baby niece

My sweet little darling niece was born this week. I have only seen here once (such is life...) but can't wait to see her more. She is such a little darling. She is my brother Jeff's daughter...this from the guy that said he would never get married or have kids. He is an awesome brother. I know that he will be a great dad. Congrats Jeff and Val!
